Choose what you're registering as. Everyone who wants dashboard access — coaches and parents entering their own athlete into meets — must register below.
This athlete can't be registered: running for a high school track team and a VYC team in the same season is against California CIF rules (VYC rule IV.A.2).
VYC rule IV.A.2: an athlete who trains or competes with a high school track team is not eligible for Valley Youth Conference competition this season.
If it was a VYC team, that team will be asked to approve the transfer (for example, confirming no fees are owed from last season). Your registration still goes through while they review it.
Upload one of the documents VYC accepts (PDF or photo): birth certificate (or a photocopy), military birth certificate, passport, foreign birth document or green card, school record showing the date of birth, court decree, or a valid California ID card.
VYC rule: your team is responsible for this document being genuine. If the athlete's age is ever questioned during the season, you must produce the original within two weeks or the athlete is suspended until you do.
Returning athlete? Type the athlete's last name above and tap "Yes, this is my athlete" — then proof of birth isn't needed.
Every athlete must have a current sports physical on file. A physical is valid for one season: it must have been performed on or after May 30 of last year to be valid for this season.
List at least one parent or guardian. A second is optional.

I understand that participation in Valley Youth Conference (VYC) track & field is a privilege. I agree to follow the direction of my coaches, to compete with good sportsmanship toward teammates and opponents, to attend practices and meets as required by my team, and to respect the rules of my team and the Conference. I understand that unsportsmanlike conduct may result in removal from a meet or the program.
Zero-Tolerance Policy. The Valley Youth Conference has a zero-tolerance policy for fighting, drugs, and alcohol. Any athlete, parent, or coach found fighting, in possession of or under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or providing drugs or alcohol to a minor, at any practice, meet, or team-related event, will be immediately removed from the program with no refund of fees. This policy exists to protect every child in this program and the volunteers who run it. Additional conduct policies (spectator conduct, coach conduct, and appeals) are published on the Conference website, valleyconference.org, and are incorporated into this agreement by reference.
I certify that the information provided in this registration is true and accurate, including my child's date of birth as shown on the uploaded proof of birth. I give permission for my child to participate in Valley Youth Conference track & field activities, including travel to away meets. I release the Antelope Valley Track Club, the Valley Youth Conference, its coaches, officials, and volunteers from liability for injuries sustained during normal participation, except to the extent caused by gross negligence. I have read and agree to the Code of Conduct and zero-tolerance policy above, and I understand that violating it can result in immediate removal from the program without refund. I agree to notify the team of any change in my child's medical condition or contact information.
Every coach — including a parent who wants to help coach — must register here to get coach dashboard access. Registration is reviewed and approved by your club before access is granted.
Every coach can see their athletes' names, divisions and status, enter athletes into meets, and see results. Private registration details stay with the team admin.
Background checks are valid for 2 years and must fall within the last 2 years of the current season. If you can't provide a verifiable date, you'll have 90 days to complete one before losing coach access.
VYC rule IX.2.f.7: every coach completes SafeSport. If you completed it with another organization (for example USATF), that certificate counts — enter its date.
By registering as a coach I agree to follow the Valley Youth Conference Code of Conduct and zero-tolerance policy for fighting, drugs, and alcohol, to complete a background check as required, and to submit results and meet entries only for my own team.
Fill in everything above first, then finish with Google or an email and password.
We'll save your answers, take you to Google, then send you straight to your coach status page.

Team admins run their team in this app: they do the first review of athlete registrations (including documents and medical information) before their Conference President certifies them, approve the team's coaches, approve transfer requests, and manage meets. Your request is reviewed and approved by a VYC site admin or your team's existing team admin before access is granted.
VYC board positions (elected every two years, confirmed in the app each season by a site admin). The two Conference Presidents certify the rosters — they are the only people who can certify or change an athlete, each for their own conference. The Commissioner approves transfers, late additions and fines. The Treasurer receives fees and records payments.
Team admins can see athletes' private information, so the same background-check rules as coaches apply: valid for 2 years (3 years for USATF-certified coaches). If you can't provide a verifiable date, you'll have 90 days to complete one.
By registering as a team admin I agree to follow the Valley Youth Conference Code of Conduct and zero-tolerance policy for fighting, drugs, and alcohol, to complete a background check as required, to keep athletes' and families' private information confidential and use it only for team business, and to act only for my own team.

Timers download each meet's entries (the Hy-Tek file for Meet Manager) and upload the meet's results. That's all a timer account can do — no team rosters, athlete records or entering athletes into meets. Timers work across teams, so there's no team to pick — your registration is reviewed and approved by a VYC site admin.
By registering as a timer I agree to follow the Valley Youth Conference Code of Conduct, to upload only official, accurate meet results, and to not share or alter results.
